Amanda
Just before beginning cosmetology school at The Aveda Institute in 2006,
Amanda decided to try out a salon that was well versed in curly hair. She
landed at Moxie. Not only did she feel completely at home in the salon's
comfortable relaxed atmosphere, but for the first time in her life she
actually had a haircut that was cut for HER hair, not to be worn straight
or any other way then what came naturally to her locks. Suddenly she saw
her curls for what they could be, instead of a giant red Christmas tree on
her head and she knew what her mission from that moment on would be: 'I
want to help everyone, straight or curly, man or woman, long or short, love
their hair as much as I love mine.'
Amanda completed cosmetology school in February of 2007 and started her
dream job at Moxie soon thereafter. In May of 2009 she sought out further
education at the Devachan Salon in New York City owned by Lorraine Massey,
the author of the book Curly Girl. She completed a one day course on
cutting, styling and coloring specifically curly hair and had a wonderful
enlightening experience. Aside from curly hair, Amanda loves to live
vicariously through her straight haired clients. She loves to cut and color
everything from a pixie cuts to long layers, from bobs to rocker layers,
blonde to fire engine red, from short to long with KLIX extensions and
EVERYTHING in between. She believes that a day in the salon should be a
relaxed, fun experience and works to ensure that every guest feels as at
home as she felt on her first visit to Moxie.

Maria
Maria has been in the hair industry for 5 years. She loves the ever-changing trends of the fashion world, and thrives on continual education. Maria is a master of up-do's and color, but will rock your world with an awesome haircut as well. Come see Maria and gain the creative hairstyle that you crave!

Nicole (Taking appointments starting Sept 1st)
Nicole has been doing hair for 4 years. Hair was always something she loved experimenting with and knew hairstyling would be her passion. She can create anything from easy everyday styles to crazy fun texture cuts. The sky’s the limit when it comes to color with Nicole. Her creativity juices flow when figuring out a color formula to make you stand out. She can create awesome dimension or do something subtle to enhance your natural color. Nicole enjoys finding the perfect haircut and color, along with product and tools to fit your needs and make you feel new and fresh. She wants everyone that sits in her chair to leave with a smile!

Ashley
“You only live once so you might as well have fun hair.” A strong motto Ashley works and lives by and a true reason she has been part of the hair industry for 5 years.
She enjoys the versatility of her career and the daily variety it brings. Most of all, she enjoys the social contact with all kinds of people. “Nothing is ever the same and I get to meet new people all the time. Everyday is a new adventure and I love that about my job!” Ashley is skilled in everything from women’s cuts, short to long, straight to curly, men’s cuts, and full multi colored transformations. One of her favorite type’s of color is the platinum card. “I love watching the process of the blonde and the extremity of the results! Blondes are so much fun to color because there seems to be no limit to it.” Whether your looking to brighten up your hair with a full set of warm, golden highlights or completely make yourself over from a deep, dark brunette into a glowing, shiny blonde, Ashley is your stylist to make the transformation complete! She is also Klix extension certified.

Becca
In the four years of her hair career, Becca recently has found her way home to Moxie Salon. She wants to share an amazing experience with every guest who walks through the door. Becca will listen to your needs and wants as a hair-wearer, and will use her expertise to translate that into your hair. Whether it's the up and coming trends, the outrageous head turners, or the good ol' classic stand-bys; she says yes, yes, and yes. Becca specializes in...YOUR HAIR.

Marina (Rising Star Stylist)
Marina has been in the beauty industry for 3 years. Fashion and art inspired her to be a hairdresser. Fashion is always changing and hair trend has to follow, therefore art helped her understand color and shape. Making her clients feel beautiful and great about them selves by tailoring the best look for them is what excites her the most!
Marina loves doing everything about hair! She will make sure to shape your haircut perfectly to your special features, and give your hair flexibility whether your hair texture is coarse or finer. Your color will be customized just for you, either to enhance your natural looks or to brighten up your colorful side. Shelly (Rising Star Stylist)
Shelley has been in the industry for 4 years. She grew up in a household of artists and sees hair as her artistic medium. To her, a cut is like a sculpture and a color completes the masterpiece. She likes to help her clients express their individuality and personality through their hair in ways that are easily styled and manageable by the average person so they can be salon fabulous everyday. She likes to do everything from perms to creative colors, to tiny foils, to outrageous cuts, but she prefers to complete a look. She believes a custom placed color is key to accentuate the shape in the haircut, and everything from bold to subtle color makes a HUGE difference in the end result. She’s a firm believer that small changes go a long way but there’s only so far you can go with haircuts, so why not try some color? The possibilities are endless! Her mainstay is that change isn’t just for fun, its necessary! She’s more than up for the job to get you to your dream hair, and teaching you how to do it yourself.

As a young girl Amber always knew she has a passion for hair design. She has now been in the industry for four years and still loves everything about it. Whether you’re looking for something subtle or daring she has a strong eye for color and also enjoys playing with shape and texture. From sleek and sophisticated to funky fresh she’ll listen to your needs to develop a look that’s true to your personality. When it comes to hair she believes communication and knowledge are key in creating styles that make you feel fabulous.

Sarah Morrison (Rising Star Stylist)
With a bachelors degree in art and art history from the university of Minnesota, Sarah has always had an artistic background. In 2007 she decided to take her art from the canvas to hair.
Sarah loves color and enjoys formulating color cocktails to suit each client. Creating subtle dimension to enhance natural color, or dramatic statement to intensify a look, she takes every hue into careful consideration. From luminous blondes to rainbow brights, there is a whole spectrum of color out there, so why not?
Sarah is also skilled in sculpting the best cut for each client. From halos of curls or soft, flowing waves, to smooth straight tresses, she loves working with all hair textures. Whether a client desires short funky locks or long beautiful mane, she will create a perfectly tailored individual style that compliments color and lifestyle. In addition, she believes in educating her clients on proper haircare and styling, so they can keep turning heads even between appointments.
